CICE history files in ntcdf

The netcdf format history files written out by CICE5 ice model has incomplete metatdata describing the coordinates. Thus it cannot be manipulated or visualized by utilities such as grads, dbrowser or fregrid.
Someone needs to update code in CICE that writes these files to the standard of MOM6 history files.
I hope a Unified forecast System can have unified file style.
