How can I link to my site with a custom referrer?

I have an android app and was attempting to include it as the referrer when opening my web site, ie:

mysite.com/?referrer=com.myapp

But this wasn't showing in umami, what is the correct way to do this? Is the only way to set a request header?

What I’m doing is using UTM tracking, and setting the source to a custom value.

I.e: from my professional site, I link to my blog with https://my.blog?utm_source=my_pro_site

Then, you can see those visits using the Reports feature, or by going to the details page for your site and checking the Query section (basically, add ?view=query to the URL of your stats).

Thanks for confirming this! I did see it other places when searched around, but was hoping there was a way to see it with the regular referrers, but your uses will have to do!
