Setting granular user permissions - when searching for a node to set permissions on, selecting the node doesn't show options

Bug summary

In the users section, I'm setting up user groups with permissions to select sections in the Content.
When searching the section you want to grant access to, then selecting the content from the search results doesn't show the permission options as it does when simply browsing the the content.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a user group

2. Set any top-level access

3. in the Granular permissions section, Click Add
   

4. Search for the content/ page to grant access to

5. from the search results, select the content found

6. you are presented with this:
   

When selecting the content from the tree (without searching) you get the correct screen where you can set the permissions for that selection:

When searching for content so set granular permission on, when selected from the search results, expect to get the screen where you can set the permissions
