MDM Note; this is related to MDM (master data management process) exercise. To emphasis that the task is not just about technical change. But it also involves the business process study and, apply the logic outcome accordingly once all stakeholder agree and sign off for applying this "soft-rule".

Issue scenario:
Recently, we introduce "Same-as Link" (SAL) data modelling design pattern with PR #130 which help to solve the LibraryID having alternative identification due to upstream business process complexity.
Similarly, we also do have upstream business process complexity around our key metadata column "Internal Subject ID" (or simply SubjectID or SBJ ID). See recap Trello cards^^.
At post-processing analysis, we have the business QC process:
- Holmes bio-fingerprinting system (and/or any equivalent system process) that team members have used and built upon the mapping knowledge table (see
#biofingerprintingCanvas for example) - Business users (upstream who hold the system records) can provide the fact about the two SBJ IDs are the same
Now back to issue scenario;
- Interview the business (via MDM process) if there a way to build upon the knowledge table that states the two SBJ IDs are the same via systematic (fingerprinting logic) or, simple lookup (master data) table
- If this is viable, the Warehouse can supplement via SAL data model at DCL layer.
- It can then enrich to Data Mart for information dispatch such as LIMS table.
Task challenge level: Very difficult, advanced, attention-to-detail
