Historical Committee Membership

Thank you for maintaining this great data platform! I would like to ask if you have a plan to provide historical committee membership data in the future.

There's no plan. But the commit history of this repository can be used to get snapshots of committee membership going back as far as we've been collecting the data here. I also archive snapshots at https://github.com/govtrack/historical-committee-membership.

before I knew about Josh's snapshots, I did a similar thing merging snapshots from the commit history.

I also merged it with Stewart and Woon's committee membership data from the 106-115th

I'm a political scientist, so a real data scientist could certainly do better, but it gets me the historical data I need.
