To be honest, if I was to try and pick up the implementation (I am not an execellent dev at all 馃檲 ) my approach would probably be rejected, since, I strongly believe that rejecting private IP make absolutely no sense in the first place, and there fore I would aim at removing such limitation altogether 馃檲 . It's (IMHO) ineffective in term of security (I trust way much more my own private IP addressing over ANY public ip :) ) and limits selfhosting or internal companies deployments.
Therefore, instead of proposing something that would probably be rejected, I guess we'll hope someone else will pickup the implementation of this item (which I still believe is key :)
