Problem or Use Case

When I started using Memos I wasn't so diligent with how I used tags. But as my usage grew I created a system for how tags were to be used - rules like when to use hyphens or underscores, when to capitalize, etc.

The problem today is that I have some tags that do not follow my rules because when I first started using them I didn't have them.

For example, I have #name-of-person and I have 60+ notes with that tag. If I want to change it to #Name-of-person (capitalize first letter), I have to manually edit all the notes with that tag.

another example is #playinggames. I want it to be just #game now because when I type something like "Bought Assassin's Creed Shadows" #playinggames doesn't make sense, but #game would, i.e., "Bought Assassin's Creed Shadows #game" and "Played Assassin's Creed Shadows #game".

I have about 10-12 tags that require such edits.

It would be nice to have a tag editor in Settings > Tags to change the tag label which automatically reflects in all the relevant posts.

Who Would Use This?

Anyone who wants to change tags or the way they organize their notes or who want to re-organize their notes
