Can we put the device to sleep / screensaver between loads?

I did try this but it was a challenge that I did not get back to. It is has been a couple of months so my memory is vague. Essentially the issue was that koreader does not have a simple api layer to do this for kindles (afaik). Overall it seemed to me that this requires lower level configuration. To make this more complicated, kindles don't seem to have a consistent api do do this either. I found a couple of solutions on the internet for specific models and firmware of kindle but not something that works cleanly across all devices.
