Email notifications sent for scheduled checkins are sent in 2s.

Expected Behaviour

Email notifications should be sent in 1s i.e a single email for every scheduled check-in notification.

Actual Behaviour

Foe each scheduled check-in, instead of one email, two are received in the email inbox. They come in at the exact same time.

Steps to Reproduce

• Create a scheduled check-in.
• When a scheduled check-in is sent out, in the email inbox, emails are received in 2s, coming in at the exact same time.
