Working without Delta

Hi,

first thanks for great addon. Is it possible to set value just as HTML? When I try it, js fails on _valueChanged=> JSON.parse

The Java API has getHtmlValue() method, see:

Hey thanks for the answer. But I am missing the setHtmlValue - I was trying to set a HTML via setValue() but .

On the Java API site: If I do thise richTextEditor.setValue("<h1>hello</h1><p>World</p>"); richTextEditor.getHtmlValue(); I get a NullPointerException (causing by the result of getHtmlValueString() is null)

If I don't call getHtmlValue() immediatly I get this stack on javascript side:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '<', "<h1>hello"... is not valid JSON

Ok. Now I understood what you are looking for. Yes, this is a missing feature in the component. Enhanced Rich Text Editor was forked from original Rich Text Editor before this feature was added there, but it has not been back ported to Enhanced Rich Text Editor and no one has asked it thus far. If you have access to https://support.vaadin.com/ and have prepaid consulting hours in your subscription, you could consider opening request for us to back port this modification.

Well that's too bad, I am just a poor "Pro" subscription enjoyer. I just wanted to use the Enhanced Rich Text Editor because it's capable to work with tables - now I have a problem :(
