Backport Lookup to Vaadin 14?

Would it be possible to backport the Lookup/ResourceProvider functionality from Vaadin 19 to Vaadin 14? That would fix the following tickets: vaadin/flow#9755 and vaadin/flow#9713

This question is still open and partly related to the question of OSGi support for npm mode in 14 series. My bet is that it will not happen, at least soon, but lets see. Maybe after we see the changes validated in v19 then we could look into backporting those to v14 in case there is no regression risk and clear benefit for making maintenance easier and being able to introduce e.g. Quarkus support.
