I built ORCH — a CLI runtime for orchestrating AI coding agent teams, with a TUI dashboard built entirely with Ink and React. Ink has been phenomenal for this use case.

Ink-specific patterns we use:

TUI architecture decisions:

• Batched updates (80ms flush) to prevent OOM from agent event streams
• Detail strings capped at 2KB (raw events can be 100KB+)
• LRU cap of 500 entries for runId maps
• React.memo for heavy components
• Single animation timer via useAnimTick hook
