Summary
I'd like to propose adding a dedicated Tools & Ecosystem page to valkey.io that lists community-built tools, extensions, and projects around Valkey.
Motivation
-
Discoverability - Most search engines still autocorrect "Valkey" to "valley," making it difficult for users to find Valkey-specific tooling. A curated page on valkey.io itself would give people a reliable place to discover what's available.
-
Ecosystem differentiation - As Valkey matures, having a visible tools ecosystem helps distinguish it from Redis. Users evaluating Valkey benefit from seeing the breadth of community investment.
-
Community visibility - There are already projects being built for Valkey (monitoring tools, CLI utilities, IDE extensions, etc.) that have no central place to be discovered.
Suggested scope
The page could include categories like:
- GUI & management tools
- IDE extensions
- CLI utilities
- Monitoring & observability
- Migration tools
- Client libraries (or link to the existing /clients page)
Happy to help put together an initial PR if there's interest.
