Weave ("we," "us," or "our") is a browser extension designed with user privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains our commitment to protecting your privacy.
Weave does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or personally identifiable information. The extension's functionality is performed entirely on your local computer.
Weave does not use any tracking or analytics services. We do not monitor your web activity, clicks, or any other interactions with your browser or the extension.
Weave requests a minimal set of permissions required for its core functionality:
- activeTab & scripting: To capture the content of the current webpage when you activate the extension.
- storage: To temporarily hold the screenshot data on your local machine before it is displayed or saved. This data is not synced or sent anywhere.
- downloads: To allow you to save the final screenshot image to your computer.
Weave is a free and open-source (FOSS) project. The complete source code is available on GitHub for public review to verify our privacy claims.
