Creating a New Note with a Period in the Name Causes the Note to Not have a Markdown Extension

If you create a note with a period in the file name, for example, Test Note.Part 1, the actual file created is named: Test Note.Part 1 but it should be named Test Note.Part 1.md. Because the .md extension is missing, Obsidian does not recognize the new note until you manually find the file and rename it to add the .md extension.

Well this issue is a duplicate of #37 , but in case you cannot build from the PR #39 yourself, you might want to use the release I created for myself for the time being.
