Feature Request: by default sort in reverse chronological

Another TPF based request:

When looking at lists of posts (mine or site wide), the default sort order is ascending by date, which means I'm often looking at posts that are 14+ years old by default.

My use case is often to find a recent post of a similar type to use as a template, so I almost always have to reverse the search to find the most recent article i'm looking to copy.

Changing this default would save me several clicks, and is probably reasonable for other use cases as well.
