MLB last play not showing last plays in at bat

The last play attribute used to show every pitch even if the ball is put into play.

Now it's only showing pitches and rarely showing at bat results, if there is homerun its not showing up in the last play attribute.

This is breaking my homerun automation

As you can is the image, the last play skipped over a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Double and went straight to the next at bat

It's an ESPN API thing. I looked into it early this season and confirmed the API is just not updating as frequently as it did in past seasons.

Do you have any advice on how to set up the homerun trigger, I'm new to home assistant so I have no idea how to without using last_play

If the on-base indicators are still working consistently (I haven't watched baseball closely enough to know), you could probably use a condition something like score increased AND no one in on base any more AND the number of outs did not change.

I was thinking this, but I don't know how to get past wild pitches
