Option to choose from which Disk/drive we want to take a size when creating a encrypted file container.

Hello,

1. We can only take space from our system drive. On my PC, I have SSD disk on which my OS is installed and I have a HDD disk on which I store my other files like Documents, Pictures etc. There could be an option (if we have two disks in our computer) to choose do we want to have space from one drive(for example SSD) or from another drive (for example HDD).

2. If we have only one disk and let's say two drives of that one disk. The could be an option to choose whether we want first drive or second drive of that disk.

VeraCrypt actually already supports creating file containers on any drive or partition on your system.

When you reach the Volume Location step in the Volume Creation Wizard, click Select File: this opens a standard file browser where you can navigate to any drive on your system (e.g., your HDD instead of your SSD). You can also type the full path directly in the text field (e.g., D:\MyContainer.hc on Windows).

On the next Volume Size step, VeraCrypt automatically detects which drive you selected and displays the available free space for that specific drive. The size you enter will be validated against the actual free space on that drive.

If the file dialog happens to open on your system drive, simply navigate to your preferred drive in the file browser: the container will be created exactly where you choose.

I hope this clarifies the issue. If you think there is a bug somewhere, please share more details and ideally screenshots.
