Unable to map accounts

Question

So I have been able to connect my Xero account to the Xero plugin to allow my Organisation to appear 'Connected', but then when I go into mapping I don't get any options under Sales Revenue, Accounts receivable etc. Not sure if this is because of the Xero account setup or because of the plugin integration itself? Just looking for some advice on which side to look for an issue.

Hmm, I can't say I've come across that before. What I see on my end for a test trial organisation:

Maybe it's something to do with permissions. Anything in your /storage/logs/commerce-xero-*.log files?

As an addition, if I comment out that line in the plugin for code, I am then able to get the lists displaying as expected, but the code value is then missing so it can never save.

If I log the accounts response ( $accounts = $response['Accounts'] ?? []; ) that is including codes in there.

From looking, some accounts in Xero don't have codes, so adding - no idea what that means Xero's end but:

'code' => $account['Code'] ?? null,

Seems to fix it and let me save etc, would just be an issue if one of those accounts was needed, but that then sounds more like a Xero/setup issue rather than plugin issue.

According to the docs, Code is "Customer defined alpha numeric account code e.g 200 or SALES". I wouldn't have thought that was nothing, but then, without looking at your Xero data, I can't be totally sure of your setup! Maybe there's some account in your system that doesn't have a code?

I'll have to do a bit more research into this one, as there are a few instances of the plugin where we fetch accounts based on their code, which we might have to refactor.

For now, this is fixed for the next release. To get this early, run composer require verbb/xero:"dev-craft-5 as 3.0.2".
