Unable to install vercel/postgres

At chapter 5, for setting up Postgress Database, pnpm i @vercel/postgres throwing react dependency error.

How to resolve it?

That doesn't mean you can't install the package. I got the same warning, but I had no problems completing the tutorial project.

That is just saying that next 15.0.3's package.json has a peerDependencies property that expects your node environment to be running react 18.2.0 or greater (if using React 18), or that specific build of React 19. The package manager is just warning you that you may experience unexpected behavior due to having a build of React 19 that isn't specified in next 15.0.3's package.json file. Unless you have some odd configuration for your pnpm, it should still install without issues.

If you want the warning not to show when you install the package, run pnpm i react@19.0.0-rc-66855b96-20241106 react-dom@19.0.0-rc-66855b96-20241106 @vercel/postgres. However, as I said before, I had no problems completing the tutorial with react 19.0.0 and react-dom 19.0.0.

Alternatively, run pnpm i next@15.1.6. That is the current latest version of Next.js, and it depends on react 19.0.0.
