Why does this fail to compile?

if:
    loop:
        false?
        break

The failable expression false? causes a generic compiler error that states the <decides> call is not in a failure context, despite the fact that the if has created one. The loop should act like a block (or for) in this case, which both work correctly - it's as if the loop makes Verse "forget" its inside a failure context.

This screenshot is even more confusing, as it shows that removing the failable expression false (by removing its query operator) shows that the if recognises it as a valid failable expression:

I'm curious if this is a design decision or a bug.

The answer I have been given is: "We retract the failure context from the body of the loop for reasons I don't recall, but I would like to relax this."

So, it looks like this is an mis-feature. Thanks for raising the issue. I am not sure this is high on the list.
