where are shortcuts stored?

hi,

I want to put my shortcut definitions in chezmoi so I can use them from all my hosts, but I cannot find where they are stored...I see ~/.config/vicinae/vicinae.json but it does not have the shortcuts..

any idea?

they should normally be stored in the config file, that is weird.
In any case, I recommend you wait as the next minor (v0.17.0) will be a full rework of the configuration system

btw, I think I found them in ~/.local/share/vicinae/vicinae.db

I have updated to 1.8.0 and FYI shortcuts are still stored in ~/.local/share/vicinae/vicinae.db...

ohh...maybe I'm wrong, but:

1. I just added some shortcuts, they are working
2. settings.json does not contain any info about them
3. if I just look at ~/.local/share/vicinae/vicinae.db with a text editor, I can see mostly the definition of the shortcucts, for example, this is to map "w maps" to https://www.google.es/maps/search/{q}...

oh you are talking about these shortcuts! I thought you were talking about keyboard shortcuts! Yes these are stored in DB.

ok, so its working as intended...thinking of replicating my config across computers (cause I don't want to configue those shorcuts etc in each of them)...would it work mostly ok if I synch the db file across hosts (as a whole, one version overwrites others)? WTYD

they are stored in DB because shortcuts can contain sensitive data sometimes and in the future I want to provide encryption capabilities by encrypting that database fully. So in order to synchronise for now synchronizing the db file is your best option, although not ideal. I may add an export/import command for shortcuts .
