How to remove/hide "This page is loaded from an extension." in firefox?

Is it possible to remove/hide entire button "Extension (B...t Startpage)" that appears before search bar, i tried to hide it via userChrome.css, but it didn't work for me, any related questions or answers if possible please?

I don't know if there is a way to disable this button. I looked at some options in about:config but couldn't find anything.
I guess it cannot be removed for security purposes ?

Yes, you can hide it in Firefox by using userChrome.css.

The power and flexibility of Firefox's userChrome.css (and userContent.css) are truly incredible.

Here is the code I wrote to do exactly this:

#identity-icon[tooltiptext="Loaded by extension: Bonjourr · Minimalist Startpage"] {
	list-style-image: url(chrome://global/skin/icons/heart.svg) !important;
}
#identity-icon-label[value="Extension (Bonjourr · Minimalist Startpage)"] {
	display: none;
}

This will replace all that bulky text with a nice little heart. Enjoy. ❤️

P.S. Don't forget to ensure toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets is set to true in about:config... otherwise Firefox will ignore userChrome.css.

Firefox really stands out due to the fact that the UI is completely customizable via userChrome.css and userContent.css. Not only do you have the power of CSS at your fingertips (literally), but you also the power of the Mozilla-only extensions to CSS, which are very useful for changing the appearance of UI elements like those found in collapsible trees.

I've enjoyed writing several hundred KB of code just for userChrome.css and userContent.css over the years.

I got the same problem, but I use Edge. It only happens when I restart or turn off my computer and put it on again. Once the computer is on and if I close my browser again and start it, it does not show this "extension" text.

That's the first thing I do when I install Firefox based browsers. However, it may be due to Waterfox flatpack on Linux as none of my others are flatpacks and they work fine.
