This sounds like a bug, not a feature-by-design. I've never experienced a non-dismissable Bonjourr announcements, so I'm thinking it may be a recent regression or something configuration-specific. But I do remember being a bit confused by a recent Bonjourr announcement, in that it wasn't clear how to dismiss it. Somehow I figured it out, but I don't recall exactly what I did (perhaps I just clicked on the announcement?). You mentioned that you clicked the [x] to dismiss the announcement, but I don't see that [x] in the screenshot you provided. Where was it? |

Sorry for being so late, I always forget GitHub discussions exist 😭
As @Gitoffthelawn said, it sounds like a bug, the announcement shouldn't come back once you've closed it once. I actually tried Bonjourr on Orion a few weeks ago and experienced a bunch of bugs I had never seen anywhere else, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was it.
If you've donated (thank you btw 🫡), you probably receive emails from Ko-fi anyway if we post something, so you could just turn off the announcements entirely if it becomes too annoying.
