What would it look like in protobuf?

The Avro example is interesting, but it would be useful to see the same schemas evolve as protobuf specs. Especially as Spring already has some support for RPC with protobufs.

Dave thanks so much for taking the time to look, I'm working on getting a better documentation. The readme became a braindump, needs cleansing. Protobuf is also next on my list, I wanted to have a functional version of avro and we can extrapolate to other MessageConverters (Protobuf/Thrift)
