Error: No matching device found

On luma.gl and luma.gl/examples/showcase/instancing the animations fail to load and I get the following error:

start undefined failed Error: No matching device found. Ensure `@luma.gl/webgl` and/or `@luma.gl/webgpu` modules are imported.

This happens on 3 browsers (Chrome/Firefox (145.0)/Edge) and only on my primary computer (Windows). I ran into a similar problem when trying to upgrade to deck.gl v9 in a development environment:

luma.gl/examples/api/animation loads fine, despite erroring in the console. WebGL2 and WebGPU are being found in my browser, so I would guess this is a bug. Either way, is there anything I can try to resolve this? Thanks.
