Down arrow, not going to end of line

Hello,

Is there an option i didn't see, or is it possible to add, this behavior ? If not, what's the reasoning ?

When i move the cursor with the arrows on the keyboard, the expected reaction is for the cursor to go down one line, and when it's the last line, the cursor goes to end if it. It's like that almost everywhere i can think about, including this discussion frame.

Currently, the cursor stays at the same "column", even at the last line, and need to reach the mouse to click or to use End to do that.

Not sure if i explain it well enough...

That does not seem to be the default behaviour of the Qt library's text editors. There are no settings for it.

Is it something you might add in a future update ? It's really not a big deal if you cannot or don't want to, just a small QoL.

In order to manually implement it I would have to add a check on every keypress if they are the up or down keys and check if the cursor is on the first or last line. I really want to minimise the amount of processing that goes on every time the user presses a key (it's already starting to lag on slower systems) so I want it to be really worth it to add more. I don't think this qualifies. It may be a better option to make it a request to the Qt library so they can add it as default behaviour, which will then automatically work in novelWriter too. The current behaviour on various keypresses is defined here.
