That's because Ubuntu 22.04 is no longer supported, and the last version released for it was 2.6.3. See: https://launchpad.net/~vkbo/+archive/ubuntu/novelwriter If your Linux Mint is an older version derived from Ubuntu 22.04, you must upgrade to a newer version and point to Ubuntu 24.04 instead. See: https://novelwriter.io/download/install_linux.html The reason Ubuntu 22.04 and distros of similar age are no longer supported is the lack of Qt 6.4 or higher, which is required since novelWriter 2.7. If you don't want to upgrade your Linux, you can try the AppImage instead. It comes with a newer version of Qt6. |
