It is in Fedora actually: https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/novelwriter/novelwriter/ I know people have made it available in Arch and FreeBSD too, but I don't know the current status there. For the debian packages, I build them myself and upload them to Launchpad. Someone else does it for Fedora. I think the process is mostly about someone taking on the task and applying for it to be included. I try to avoid getting too involved in that process because it takes a lot of time. I plan to add it to Flatpak when I have the time, but these are the kind of tasks I don't really want to spend my time on instead of working on the code. I have already spent a lot of time on the Windows installer, and it also needs a major upgrade down the line. I have given up on MacOS. Mostly because I don't own any Apple products (and don't want to either) so I have no idea if the packages even work. |

How come novelWriter isn't in the software repositories of mayor distributions of like Debian, Fedora or Mint?
Manuskript is in it but but is much less stable and capable, in my opnion.
Also wondering how the getting approved process would go.
