Feature request: Drive/preparation time

Hi,
Thank you for this awesome calendar, which is the perfect addition to my new project.

Would it be possible to add "Drive time" or whatever the best name for this attribute is to events (like in Outlook, iCalendar, etc.)? My wish would be to have a pre event drive/preparation time and post event drive/preparation time that can be styled independently from the event (e.g. different color or opacity or something).

Those attributes could be used for many purposes and I think would be used by many people:

• Drive time to and from the event
• Preparation and cleanup time when managing ressources (offices, conference rooms, etc.)
• Preparation and wind down time when handling customer services (barber, dentist, educational services, etc.)

Top screenshot is my DOM manipulation of your calendar, below a screenshot how it's implemented on iOS.
I don't know if it would make sense to allow text/icons in the drive time sections. Maybe it would, but in my case, this is not neccessary.

Unfortunately, this is not a ics-Feature (yet) and is implemented in various ways by different developers.

You can currently achieve a similar result using background events (in your example, the main event is from 10:30 to 13:00, and the background event is from 10:00 to 14:00). While this requires implementing additional logic when preparing calendar data, it's a working solution for now.

That's true. Thank you for pointing it out, I haven't considered background events as currently I'm using them for sunrise and sunset times.

When looking through the documentation, I came up with an idea how drive/prep time could be implemented. This is very similar to nested resources and would probably allow an easier approach to enabling drag and drop of these events

I agree that a built-in solution would be more functional and integrated. I'll consider the proposed implementation. Thank you.
