Idea / feature request - save temporary xyz images in gradio folder as they process instead of when xyz completes

Currently, the xyz (when 'include images' is turned on) downloads in bulk all images in the gradio temp folder only after the xyz finishes, starting with the matrix image.

An xyz can take considerable time to process, depending on the job.

My suggestion is to download the images gradually as they get processed, with the matrix image last.

Reasons:

• I had many times when the xyz failed at the end, for various reasons / errors, without downloading any image - losing all images in the process
• There are times when the live preview doesn't work - the gradio folder would be useful to check on the xyz progress, stop it if it's not promising without having to wait for the completion just to realize something was not going according to plan

saving to /tmp/gradio is something that gradio does by itself if image is not already saved.
sdnext has a choice to either save each image or not. and saving happens at image generate end, not at xyz grid end.
so if you enable settings -> image -> save all, images will be saved as they are generated.
what you're asking is a duplicate of that, except it would be for xyz grid only?

So that I make sure we are talking about the same thing, in Windows I refer to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\gradio

I have sdnext image saving off. Gradio auto-saves there at xyz end. By the way, that folder bloats very easily and it never auto-purges.

I haven't tried image autosaving from sdnext. I will test that and revert.

yes, thats what we're talking.
gradio saves files once they are passed to gallery ui component IF they are not already saved.
since you have auto-saving off, that's when gradio saves to tmp.
if you have auto-saving on, it happens at the end of each generate regardless of xyz grid. and sdnext monkey-patches gradio so it knows files are already saved and it can use them as-is instead of saving to tmp as it would normally do.

and there is a feature to clean temp on startup as well. so yes, it bloats and then it should go down.
