This weekly issue is the shared, curated entry point for finding current work across the vLLM Semantic Router Workgroups for 2026-08-31 through 2026-09-06 (UTC). It tracks work already in progress and lists only accepted tasks that were rechecked as available; the date is a discovery window, not a completion deadline.
Use the table to open a Workgroup charter, apply for membership, or jump to that Workgroup's current role-agnostic issue list.
How Workgroup participation works
This weekly issue is a curated pool, not a one-week delivery deadline. Claimed work may remain in progress and carry into the next weekly issue.
Joining a Workgroup as a Member follows four steps:
- Apply — choose a Workgroup in the navigation table, open its charter, and leave a first-person application comment with your background and interests.
- Claim — choose any row under
Available issues in that Workgroup comment, open the target issue, and comment /assign. The claim counts only after your name appears in the target issue Assignees field. Keep one active issue at a time; finish or hand it off before claiming another.
- Deliver — open a focused PR linked to the claimed issue and get a substantive contribution merged.
- Join — eligible contributors are added through one reviewed roster PR. Membership becomes canonical after that PR merges.
If you have not applied
Choose a Workgroup, open its charter from the table, and submit a Member application. You can then claim any available issue from the same Workgroup comment.
If you have applied but do not know how to start
Choose any available issue and use /assign on the target issue. Please take one issue at a time so ownership stays clear. If none fits, comment Need task: wg/<slug> on this weekly issue so the next review can prepare options; this does not assign a task automatically.
If you already joined
Choose any available issue in your Workgroup. Applicants, Members, and Leads use the same list and /assign flow. Leave Need task: wg/<slug> here when the current list has no suitable work.
A contribution qualifies a contributor for the Workgroup that owns that work. A requested Lead role follows the same contribution path but requires a separate human role decision.
For the complete role guidance and card examples, read How to join and work together.
