Images are not accessible anymore

Describe the bug

We were previously using CNS Manager from projects.registry.vmware.com/cns_manager/cns-manager.

I saw, that images in the YAMLs have moved to projects.packages.broadcom.com/cns_manager/cns-manager.

However, I can not find or pull those images.

A public repo explorer also shows 404 on the repos: https://explore.ggcr.dev/?repo=projects.packages.broadcom.com%2Fcns_manager%2Fcns-manager

How can we get the Images?

Reproduction steps

1. Try to pull the images, e.g. with:

skopeo list-tags docker://projects.registry.vmware.com/cns_manager/cns-manager
or
skopeo list-tags docker://projects.packages.broadcom.com/cns_manager/cns-manager

Error:

time="2025-10-02T13:33:33Z" level=fatal msg="Error listing repository tags: fetching tags list: name unknown: Repository name not known to registry

Expected behavior

Images are publicly accessible

@kolluria, as you changed the images in the YAMLs recently: Do you have guidance on this?

@benruland we had an organisational change that removed the images from the above registry. Let me get back to you with a solution.

I have discussed this issue with Broadcom support. The removal of images is intended and there are no plans to bring the images back publicly.

If you have access to VMware support, the image can be provided via support case. It is still fully supported.

There are plans to integrate the functionality into VMware Cloud Foundation in the future. Therefore, isolated development of this project is halted.

While this was not the answer I was hoping to get, I hope this clears it up for others.
