Add and remove existing disk to VM

I have a VM with 2 disks attached to it. I need to remove one disk temporarily, do some tasks and add again.
I am looking for a sample which can remove disk from a VM and add it back to the VM.

Hi @zhangben6 I'm also looking for a way to detach a disk temporarily from a VM without deleting it from the backingstore.

I've tried the following ways:
1)

        spec = vim.vm.ConfigSpec()
        device_changes = []
        disk_spec = vim.vm.device.VirtualDeviceSpec()
        disk_spec.operation = vim.vm.device.VirtualDeviceSpec.Operation.remove
        disk_spec.device = vm.hardware.device if isinstance(device, vim.vm.device.VirtualDisk)
        device_changes.append(disk_spec)
        spec.deviceChange = device_changes
        WaitForTask(vm.ReconfigVM_Task(spec=spec))

The above deletes the disk from the backingstore so it's not good for me.

2. Using vm.DetachDisk_Task -> unfortunalty, this requires diskId of type vim.vslm.ID and I have no idea where to fetch it from as the volume.vDiskId is always null.

I found the following links which are talking about this but none of them provided me a solution.

@ebenahar Have you been able to make progress here? I've come across the exact same issue and I've no idea where to get vim.vslm.ID from.
