Python callback on checkbox not working

Hey, thank you for this nice template.

In the example, js linking the checkbox with the plot is working. But I tried to add a Python callback. And it unfortunately does not work.

It may be related to #18

Note: with the default template it works.

I opened #20 to share a not working case. But on Binder it is working. So I will try to set an example closer to my real case and let you know.
