🌍 Proposal: Add Uzbek (uz) translation for Vue documentation

Hello Vue team 👋

I would like to propose adding Uzbek (uz) language support to the Vue documentation.

Uzbek is spoken by over 35 million people, and there is currently no official or community-maintained translation of Vue docs available. Adding Uzbek would help make Vue more accessible to developers in Uzbekistan and neighboring regions.

• Start with core sections:
  • Introduction
  • Essentials
  • Quick Start
• Ensure consistent terminology and high-quality translation
• Gradually expand to full documentation
• Maintain updates alongside new releases

🔧 Questions

• Is there an existing i18n workflow or guideline I should follow?
• Should I contribute directly to this repo or start with a separate repo first?

I’m ready to contribute actively and maintain the Uzbek translation long-term.

Hi, there, and thank you for you effort. Please refer to https://github.com/vuejs-translations/guidelines - the process is very well documented.

tl;dr to answer your questions:

• you create a personal fork of this repository and start translating there
• here you only add a small PR announcing there is WIP on Uzbek translation and link your fork to let others know they shouldn't star their own
• once you'll get close to be finished, there is a way to transfer your fork into https://github.com/vuejs-translations project where it gets official status

Hello! I noticed that a request for Uzbek translation was submitted in 2022, but it seems there has been no activity since then. Could you please advise on the best way to proceed?

I see. I recommend you to try contanct maintainer of https://github.com/Zikoi5/docs-uz directly and ask him if he feels like continuing or if he is willing to transfer the WIP to you. Also write into https://github.com/orgs/vuejs-translations/discussions/32 to let users know you would like to continue with the translation efforts.

I see from the commits history in the repo that some things were already translated, so at least you don't have to start from scratch, even if you have to copy-paste the texts to your new fork (just be aware that some parts might have changed since 2022).

I also checked the previous Uzbek translation work and sent a message to https://github.com/orgs/vuejs-translations/discussions/32, but since it was incomplete and inactive, I continued the translation independently and now the translation has been uploaded to the repository in its full form.

Can you advise on making this the official translation of uz.vuejs.org?

Specifically:

1. Should I prepare the repository for transfer to the vuejs-translations organization?
2. Is there a review process or checklist I should follow before that?
3. Would you recommend opening a PR at this stage?

I’m fully committed to maintaining and updating the Uzbek translation long-term.
