Typescript is being rewritten in Go, will this be a problem for vue-tsc?

I think the vue language tools should also be ported to go. (or rust, lol)

I was thinking that too, but personally, i would go with rust, mainly because I'm more comfortable writing that.

Although if it would still be a typescript plugin, then we need to see what languages the new go-based tsserver/typescript lsp/typescript compiler will allow for plugins to be written in

Anders Hejlsberg explained pretty clearly why they didn't choose Rust. Using Go allowed a porting instead of a complete rewritting, mainly because Go runs a garbage collector, like JavaScript.

Using Rust would require rethinking the whole project structure, because of its strict ownership rules. In particular, working with acyclic structures in Rust is absolute hell.

I know, i watched the video, i was thinking if we rewrite the vue language tools, i would do it in rust. What the typescript team is doing is not a rewrite though, they are just porting the code to go, which is obviously way faster. And that cannot be done with rust because it is such a different language from typescript

Seems like it's quite early days so far, the current plan is to use IPC message passing, which might lead to the same speed as the current Javascript? Have suggested instead using TSC-go as a library so then we could get access to the internals more-directly and get much more of the available performance
