Even if I uninstall Vue - Official, it again gets installed automatically. other extensions dont have this problem.

I was experiencing the same issue. try to uncheck the Auto update

Uncheck the automatic update button and update to the latest version to uninstall normally

Me too. Furhtermore, the extension is raising a warning on startup:

Hybrid Mode is disabled automatically because there is a potentially incompatible GitHub.copilot-chat TypeScript plugin installed.

Same here; that's why I was trying to uninstall the extension. As a workaround, I was at least able to disable it globally, which got rid of that warning message.

After it's uninstalled, restart vscode or click 'restart extension', vue gets re-installed.

Please try entering the extension installation directory and deleting the vue.volar folder.
