In Nuxt 4, should stores/ go inside srcDir or rootDir ?

In the doc, it says at the root of your repository, but I'm not sure if that is only for Nuxt 3, or also for Nuxt 4 new structure.
So should I do ./stores or ./app/stores ? I suppose the later
