Why is the backed-up site not working properly?

I've noticed that some websites with backup functions, such as the Internet Archive, redirect visitors to a 404 page when they try to access the VitePress site from their archives.

hmm, no idea lol. wasn't IE for mac discontinued like 20 years ago?

usually when this happens it means that this import failed:

vitepress/src/client/app/index.ts

Line 149 in 296ef57

pageModule = import(/*@vite-ignore*/ pageFilePath)

and the router will treat it like 404, but on IE ES6 wasn't even supported, so I don't think it will load type=module scripts in first place.
