PWE Roadmap

Note: There are not yet dates or timelines on this project (but there are about to be...)

Goals:

  • System that functionally implementation of CEPC in existing and future W3C

Ombuds Program

Investigation program

On a limited basis, some complex issues may arise which need additional inquiry

  • Gather information on existing resources and when those may be called on
  • Gather information on existing advisory options when needed
  • Gather information on outsourcing options once LE commences

CEPC Procedures

We need clear procedures for how Ombuds should handle potential violations of CEPC

  • Gather procedures from other organizations, including principles
  • Draft updated procedures
  • Get legal and practical review
  • Ultimately update Procedures]

Training

  • Ensure that PWE CG itself is better cross-trained in DEI issues
  • Build a resource library to support learning and discussion of CEPC issues, including belonging and discrimination
  • Offer discussion opportunities at W3C events to discuss DEI issues and activities
  • Finalize and provide de-escalation training for W3C Chairs, TF Facilitators, staff, and W3C participants
  • Find or develop a training program for Ombuds on how to handle more sensitive and/or severe issues
  • Train Ombuds in proper application of CEPC Procedures
  • Ensure ongoing training, including availability of online learning and training resources
