Not missed, but much of it rejected, despite it being a cross-functional review from PFWG, compiled from multiple Member organizations.

If I recall correctly, there wasn't enough political will for a formal objection at the time, because it was acknowledged that there was potential benefit for DAISY/EPUB, even if the naming and utility of certain features were questionable.

However, since there are no known implementations of many of these features, and no expressed implementor interest in the past 7 years, I don't believe this meets the criteria for a new CR/PR Rec. Shouldn't incubation be the path forward?

Copying @michael-n-cooper, because he's the one who sent the bulk resolution acceptance to those rejections of most of the PFWG feedback. As I read it, CSSWG rejected removing the properties (like pause-before now #4870) but the acceptance included an understanding to add notes, and they were never added to CSS 3 Speech.

@michael-n-cooper, do you read it the same way?

Sorry, I do not have a clear recollection of the sequence of events that led to the decisions, I am afraid.

@cookiecrook I think your interpretation is accurate, the Disposition of Comments had said "...agree to improve informative prose (examples) for decibel offsets (as well as for 'voice-rate' percentages)".
