IMPORTS <url>

<url> is the location of a self-contained SHACL Rules file in SRL or RDF-syntax.

Imported PREFIXES do not continue after the rules of url have been processed for import. Nor does BASE or VERSION.

While managing prefixes as a shared common set of declarations might be useful in SRL, it goes against the idea of the imported rule set being self-contained. If prefixes do continue after processing, they can modify the rules that follow.

Such an example (with actual rule content) would make this much clearer.

(FWIW as does owl:imports as is used in SHACL 1.0 for modularization)
