Don't display the ellipsis in the pagination bar in some cases

When we are on the fourth page of a listing, the pagination bar looks as follow:
https://beta.w3.org/news/2022/?page=4

Same when we are three pages before the last one:
https://beta.w3.org/news/2022/?page=6

In those cases, it is not necessary to display the ellipsis.

Maybe we can also omit the ellipsis when they represent only one page like in https://beta.w3.org/news/2022/?page=5 and display them only when they represent two pages or more ?
