Floating label accessibility

We are using a text input with a floating label. In most cases where the label is short, this design works well. However, when the label is very long, an ellipsis appears as intended.

Is this considered a violation of WCAG 2.5.3 Label in Name and/or 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions? If so, what is the severity?

Another scenario occurs when the label is long but still fully visible. However, when testing for WCAG 1.4.12 Text Spacing, the label becomes truncated, and an ellipsis appears. Would this be considered a violation, and if so, what is the severity?

If the above are violations, do you have any recommendations for possible remediation/workaround?

Notes:

1. Testing was conducted on a smaller screen with an input width of 100%.
2. Label shortening is not an option, particularly in French.
3. The input height is fixed as per the design.
4. We are planning to move away from floating labels in the future, but this change will not happen in the near term. In the meantime, we are looking for an interim solution to ensure accessibility in the current design.
