so it's not just using colour, so it can't fail 1.4.1 use of color... |

But it does fail SC 3.3.2: Labels or Instructions because there is no indication whether left or right is on or off. |

I was wondering if this issue could fail SC 1.3.3 (Sensory Characteristics)? |

SC 1.3.3 would not fail in the design shown above, because it relates to the instructions, and there are no instructions. However, it would be a non-conformance if there were instructions that said to slide the switch to the right to turn it on, or if they said that a dark blue background means it's turned on. |

Hello,
I have a question about the use of color and position to indicate the state of a switch control.
On a web page, a modal dialog is displayed to allow users to manage their cookie preferences. Each cookie option is represented by a switch (checkbox) control that users can toggle on or off. Currently, the switch indicates the “on” state visually by changing the background color and moving the handle (the circle) to the right.
Would this design fail WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.1 Use of Color or any other relevant success criteria?
Thank you
