For Fedora packaging, the packaging guidelines allow for mpi name collisions. I am curious what scenarios you have that would prefer avoiding the name collisions?
We are thinking of a change proposal in Fedora to unify the MPI variants, and we are also looking at if the serial component could also be covered by having all of the mpi communication be no-ops. I think knowing more about these scenarios and other designs would be helpful for us to guide the change proposal
