Hi there!

I’m a student and a developer who has been following the Waycrate projects for a bit now. I am really curious about the project and would like to contribute.

I noticed the last release was 1.4.5 and was wondering what the roadmap looks like for the next version? I'd love to help out whether that’s through testing, documentation, or tackling some of the planned features for the next release.

for example, you can help add new format to wayshot, or help package it to other distros. Or help fix the bugs.. Now we have already implemented a lot of futures. I do not know.. Now I am just help maintaining the repo

Hello there! I was going through the codebase and came across the --color flag and I think it can be improved.
Currently, calling it gives this output:

RGBA       : R:255, G:99, B:71, A:255
RGBA(float): R:1.00, G:0.39, B:0.28, A:1.00
16hex      : #ff6347ff

This is readable but not great for scripting if you want just the hex code in a pipeline, you have to grep and awk just to pull it out. I think we should introduce a --color-format <FORMAT> flag that outputs exactly one value, with options like hex, rgb, rgba, and hsl. The default (when --color-format is not passed) would keep the existing multi-line output, so there are no breaking changes.

Usage would look like:

wayshot --color --color-format hex | wl-copy
echo "color: $(wayshot --color --color-format hsl);"

Do you think this will add value? I would love to work on it and open a PR!
