Use Monitor's Gravity Sensor for Rotation

I have a monitor with gravity sensor, but it doesn't handle the resolution well when rotating (it just keeps a vertical resolution even in portrait mode).
Would it be possible for BetterDisplay to use this gravity sensor information to automatically set the new portrait resolution once I physically rotate the monitor?

It might be possible if there is some way to query this via DDC. But that would require constant polling. I'll convert this to a discussion - if you have some detailed info about this and how to query the display (what DDC command etc), I might be able to look into it.
