DDC Control needs to be reconfigured after each monitor sleep

Hi, kinda newbie here.

I got an Air M2 2022 which I use with an external monitor. I cannot change the built-int color controls since the button on the external monitor is broken. Your software seems to do the job quite well (thanks!).

The only thing is: every time the monitor goes to sleep (either by locking the mac or unplugging it), it seems to "reset" the color. I then need to go to BetterDisplay -> "DDC Control" and just change any one slider even so slightly, and it seems to send an update with all the info to the monitor, which corrects the color. But I need to do this every time I come back to my desk.

Is there a better way? Am I missing some configuration? Or either a workaround?

I am now having this same issue out of nowhere and I do have on Write last used values to display. I have a two Dell P3223QE's. It works on the first monitor but the second monitor just won't work and I have to reset several settings. I have even put on the configuration protection and it just no longer responds. I don't know what to do at this point.
